Dance As If No One Is Watching

Bachata: Bachata is a form of music & dance in the countryside and rural marginal neighborhood of the Dominican Republic.  It’s Subjects are usually romantic.  It’s also a very sensual and romantic type of dance.

Ballet: Ballet is the core of all dance.  It gives you strength, Balance, Coordination, & Turn-Out.  Ballet is one of the most graceful dance’s in the dance world.  Ballet will give you more strength that will apply to your other types of dance.

Ballroom: Ballroom gives you strength, pose, & control.  It’s a great way to boost energy and challenge the mind.  Ballroom consist of dances such as, The Fox Trot, Waltz, Rumba, East & West Coast Swing.

Baton: Baton is a great way to learn mind & hand coordination.  This class features the basics of jazz & dance skills, kicks, jumps, and parade marching choreographed to the music.

Belly Dancing: Belly Dancing is a solo dance performed by a woman and characterized by sinuous hip & abdominal movements.   

Cha-Cha: Latin Cha-Cha is a slower pace, more sensual type of dance and may involve complicated rhythms.  It has 2 more steps than salsa does.

Cheer: Cheer will teach you the basics of arm movements & jumps as well as voice training.  When the students are more advanced they will learn how to do stunts and the safety requirements for those stunts.  You will also learn the basics of tumbling & dance/cheer combinations with music.

Combo Class: Combo Class is preferably for children ages 3-4 years.  It’s 30 minutes of ballet, 20 minutes of tap, and ending the last 10 minutes with creative movement.  It’s a great way to introduce dance to the little ones.

Contemporary Jazz: Rather than a specific dance technique Contemporary Jazz is a collection of systems & methods developed from modern & jazz dance.  It’s a lot more creative and sharper movements, but with the same feeling as lyrical.

Cumbia: Cumbia is originally a Columbian folk dance.  Cumbia began as a courtship dance practiced among the slave population that was later mixed with the European instruments and influence.

Flamenco:

Hip-Hop: Hip-Hop is known as a street style of dance like seen in pop music videos.  It shows you style and coordination.  It’s fun for anyone.

Jazz: It’s a fast fun pace of ballet.  Where you learn a variety of turns, Leaps, & different kinds of jumps, Flexibility, Control, and fun choreography. 

Jumps & Turns: Jumps & Turns will break down the technique of & show you the proper placements of each step.  It will concentrate on just jumps and turns.

Lyrical: Lyrical is a combination of ballet and jazz mixed together.  It’s a slower type of dance that can teach you control, and how to bring out your emotions and feeling threw dance.

Merengue: Merengue is a type of lively joyful music & dance that comes from the Dominican Republic.  Partners hold each other in a closed position & do walks sideways or circle each other in small steps.

Modern: Modern is a African style dance that focuses on lines & unusual body movements.  It teaches you how to become musicality & to incorporate the movements with the beat of the music.

Mommy & Me: Mommy & me is a great way to introduce dance to your 2 year old.  It will teach your child the basics of counting to the music & their first steps into the dance world.

Pilates: A system of exercises that promote the strengthening of the body, often using specialized equipment.

Point: Point is a more advanced level of ballet.  It strengthens your ankles so that you are able to go up onto your toes.  You must be at a advanced level of ballet to take this class.

Salsa: Salsa is usually a partner dance form that corresponds to salsa music.  In some forms it can also appear as a performance dance.

Salsa Aerobics: Salsa Aerobics is a fun Latin style of regular aerobics.  You will do the same type of exercises in aerobics but with a hot and spicy style to it.  It’s a energetic and fun class good for anyone, at any age.

Swing: West Coast Swing is a partner dance derived from Lindy Hop.  Wets Coast Swing is one of the most difficult and one of the most improvisational.  East Coast Swing is a partner dance form the Eastern Swing.  East Coast Swing is a modern form of it’s early Counterpart Eastern Swing.  Which was a street style dance.

Tango: Tango is a social dance form originating in Buenos Aires, Argentina.  Today there are many tango dance styles. Including Argentine Tango, Finnish Tango, Chinese Tango, and Vintage Tango.  Argentine Tango is often regarded as the authentic tango since it’s the closest to that originally dance in Argentina and Uruguay.

Tap: Tap is a more rhythmic type of dance where you learn different sound patterns with your feet.  Tap also incorporates some ballet & jazz movements.

Technique & Conditioning: Technique & conditioning is a great class to jus focus on your technique or to just strengthen your body.  It consist of abs & leg exercises and also works on placement & turn-out.

Tumbling: Tumbling is the basics of gymnastics.  It will the class will consist of learning summer salts, cartwheels, hand-stands, hand-stand rolls, and when the student is ready or already more advance they will be learning back & front hand springs and aerials.

Yoga: Yoga is discipline armed at training the consciousness for a state of perfect spiritual insight & tranquility.  A system of exercises to promote control of the body & mind.
